Now I move about the home freely and know how to use a piddle pad, but I'm still afraid to go outside. Very food driven, she will mow through whatever she is given and search for more even though she gets as much as the larger dogs. Her walk looks a little awkward due to bad knees. She is ok with cats, other dogs and adults, and probably would be with children if there were any around. She loves to sit in your lap and lick your hand. Her estimated age is 14. She is not on any meds. She needs someone who will make her life lovely while she is still here.

That is hard to believe because we are both very adorable, very smart, potty trained, use a doggy door and never make a mess in the house. Our foster mom says we are real girly-girls. Cha-cha is a leggy little lady. Her owner was facing a certain end so she surrendered her two beloved fur-kids to us to ease her mind about their future. Cha-cha has spent time in two different foster homes and, possibly because her owner was female, seems to respond better to women over men. However, give her time, let her come to you, and she will end up jumping into your chair and settling down next to your leg for a comfortable snooze. After several visits to the veterinarian it was decided that her left eye needed to be removed because of chronic dry eye and repeated infections. Cha-Cha is a bit stiff from old age. She has a good appetite for whatever is on the menu in her multi-dog foster home. She is first at the door to go out in the morning and has a couple favorite spots in the back yard to lay in the sun. This little old gal would do best in a forever home with an older person or couple (but no cats) who would move at an easy going pace and have the time to devote to her.

We named him Coco Man because of his color and his soft and silky coat. This active young fellow really knows how to burn off excess energy. He might run a half dozen zoomies in a big circle around the recliner in the den, chase a resident cat (he does not like them) over the back fence, or roughhouse with other dogs his age and size. An excellent alarm dog, Cocoa man will let you know if someone is coming or going. Visitors are greeted and said goodbye to the same way. He must think that is his job. He can become pretty attached to people. We think he may have had a seizure in the past, but has had no reoccurrence and is not on any meds. The owner in Las Lunas released him to us because she started a new job in Albuquerque and was gone for more than ten to twelve hours a day. Cocoa Man prefers his family to be home more than that. In fact, a stay at home mom and a school aged kid or two would suit him just fine. This sturdy little guy weighs about seven pounds and would be a marvelous addition to almost any home.

He was purchased as a puppy but the owners divorced and he was given to grandmother where he lived for the past eight years. Now grandmother has passed away and Vali needed to be re-homed again. We thought he had a growth on his chest but after clipping away the hair it appears he had a severe bruise. He had a mouth full of bad teeth so we had a dental done after doing a blood chem. panel and CBC to make sure he's healthy enough for the procedure.
